This study examines the relationship between entrepreneurship and strategic management, from the perspective of the process and from the point of view of the content. In particular, we analyse the influence of the competitive strategy and the practices of analysis, flexibility, horizon, locus of planning and control attributes on entrepreneurship. The results, tested on a sample of 233 Spanish SMEs, indicate a positive relationship between entrepreneurship and analysis, flexibility, locus of planning, controls and strategy based on differentiation.
